No knifemaker has shaped the face of CRKT as much as the legendary Kit Carson. The late designer’s classic M16 knives are among the top-selling EDC blades of all time, and a staple within the knife industry. The CRKT M16 03S Classic Tactical Knife is a repurposed version of the original M16, created to honour Kit. This innovative folder features the LAWKS safety technology, which places a pin between the locking liner and frame to keep the blade secure when in-use. Simply push the lever on the side of the blade to engage this safety feature. The 03S is the mid-sized knife in this M16 collection, designed with a spear point blade for tasks where piercing capabilities are required. A 4-position pocket clip is included.

Why choose this knife?

  • LAWKS safety technology keeps fingers safe
  • AUS8 steel blade is sharp and has superior edge retention
  • Mid-sized EDC blade ideal for a wide variety of cutting tasks
  • Opens up smoothly with the Carson flipper opener
  • Based off of Kit Carson's iconic M16 design

Why not?

  • Spear point blades are not suitable for slicing and cutting applications

Pro Tip:

The Lake and Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS for short), is a manually-operated safety feature on a range of CRKT folding knives. The device is a lever integrated into the side of the knife. Pressing the lever forward sets a pin between the liner lock and the frame, ensuring the blade will not disengage when in-use.
